HELLO! I
hope you all had a great week! Hermana Gillette and I are starting off great
and things are going fantastic here! It’s the beginning of autumn, but it’s
still pretty toasty here. I feel like I am really starting to get a hang of the
language, yet when people go off telling long stories, I still usually get
SUPER lost, but I just keep on smiling and nodding my head, haha. I love the
people here so much, they really have become another family away from home! I
love my companion Hna. Gillette … we have a lot of fun together, and we have
already seen so many miracles!
Matilde is
getting baptized this Saturday! I can’t believe it and I can’t wait! This will
be my first and the feeling is so incredible! Please keep her in your prayers. Everyone else is doing great. Monday and
Loveth were able to find a really cheap apartment, but they will have to wait
two weeks to see if they can officially rent it, so please keep them in your
prayers as well.
Right now we
are teaching about 10 African men. They are just the greatest! Whether they are
from Nigeria, Cameroon, Gambia, Mali, Senegal, or Liberia; they are just
incredible. Something about the way all Africans talk about God is just mesmerizing
to me! Every time they wake up in the morning and take in their first breath of air, they praise
God, their Father, Lord Jehovah, Almighty King … for giving them the chance to
live another day. It´s the little things that they are SO grateful for, and it
is so humbling for me! I had really wanted to serve in Africa, but I have been
so blessed to be able to get a taste of that here in Spain. They are the
happiest people I have ever met!
It makes me
reflect on how mighty and gracious God really is. Notice His hand in your life
every day, and it will bring you EVERLASTING happiness!! I LOVE YOU ALL!!!
